Server Side include in theme

Hi all,

I'm fairyl new to using dasblog but i am finding it really easy to customise and think its excellent piece of kit.

Quick question though, i'm trying to do a server side include in my theme file like this:

<!--#include file="../filename.asp" -->

In the page when i preview it nothing shows and in the source code is simply shows:

<!--#include file="../filename.asp" -->

I'm doing this in the homeTemplate.blogtemplate file.

Can anybody shed any light on this, I'm obviously missing something really simple here but just can't see it.

Thanks

Hi Tom,

Without going much into the why, its not possible to include anything in the themes except html, javascript, and flash objects, i.e. client side script.
You can't have classic asp include files in asp.net, in asp.net web pages only support one server-side language per page, and in dasBlog, that language has been declared c#.

Thanks Tom,

I realised that as soon as I read your reply, sorry about the silly question.

But thanks for the help.
