Clicking on Configuration Tab results in error

I am running a blog at http://www.healthquotes.ca/Blog/ as a .NET sub-application.

The DasBlog build I'm using is "2.1.8102.813".

I can sign in without a problem, and I can click on all tabs without having an error message EXCEPT FOR the Configuration tab.

When I click on the configuration tab I get the following error: "An error has been encountered while processing the page. We have logged the error condition and are working to correct the problem. We apologize for any inconvenience.".

Has anyone else see this type of behavior?? I have had the web hosting company double-check the permissions for the logs, content and siteconfig folders, but it hasn't solved the issue!

Help :)

It would help if you went to Activity and then Events and copied the exception log information from the time the error occured so we can see exactly what the exception is. The message you quoted us is just the generic "an error occured" message, while the real exception is logged.

This usually means your site.config file is corrupt... what you can do as make a backup and put a clean config file from the distribution on your site.

I got a clean config file, tweaked it a bit for the various settings (e.g. <Root>, etc.) then uploaded the new config file.

I'm still getting the same error.

I will get that log file error as per Nick's suggestion next!!!
