Basically, I would like a way to make a theme that looks like this...

http://www.freewebsitetemplates.com/preview/travel/

My knowledge of CSS is very limited...I could get away with editing a few things but I would love it if someone steered me in the right direction at least.

Anyone that can help?

OK,

I can get you started.

Your chosen template at the link provided has most probably an html file probably index.html and a file ??style??.css (not to mention the included graphics/images)

You convert the html file to the dasBlog theme file "homeTemplate.blogtemplate" and add a link to the ???.css file.

Remove the sample content and replace with the appropriate dasBlog macro references such as <%bodytext%> where the content was and <%categoryLinks%>  where the category list goes etc. etc.

These links with give you the detail to make the above happen.

Once you convert one html template to dasBlog, the next one can be done in an hour or less.

Cheers
